Interesting map of how the country is divided:
Orange counties voted for Basescu (basically Transylvania, Bucharest, the coast), red ones voted for Geoana (the rest of the south and Moldova). (Green ones - Harghita and Covasna, where I am, voted for Kelemen). This country is pretty clearly divided, no? (Note that a fair few of the Transylvanian counties and all of the districts of the capital didn't even put Geoana second)

An even more interesting divide is the one in education, according to the exit-polls:
-- people with university degrees voted mostly for Antonescu
-- people with high school diplomas voted mostly for Băsescu
-- people who have less education than a high school diploma voted mostly for Geoană.

Wow, that's an amazing stat Bogdan. (Not entirely unsurprising I have to say, but amazing all the same)
Thanks for it
Interesting indeed. (One hates to think what sort of eductation those who voted for Becali had.)
very very interesting, It seems to me that a lot of people are voting not only with politics but with education.
The question that comes to mind in this case is: why do some of teh areas have more education than others, as such?
Interesting to see Bucovina went with Basescu and not the rest of Moldova, as well as Hunedoara going for PSD. Also kind of interesting to see C-Sebes go for Basescu as well - kind of a rural area there.
